History

Vigilant Corporation of today started in 1996 as Grumpy Graphics, a home-based Internet graphic design company. Its founders were Pamela Gockley and Dean Hornberger. Grumpy focused on small business owners and friends needing Internet site design and graphic services to create a web presence.

In 1997, Grumpy Graphics created the employment website PennsylvaniaJobs.Com, the first web site created to bring jobseekers and employers in Pennsylvania together.

In 1999, as the businesses and its reputation for quality and customer service grew, Grumpy Graphics and PennsylvaniaJobs.Com were incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania as Vigilant Internet Service Corp (later changed to Vigilant Corporation) with its Internet services labelled Vigilant.Net. Pamela S. Gockley was selected as President of the corporation. The new name better described the scale and scope of the services offered. Some of the new services added at that time included hosting, domain management, Search Engine Optimization, and website maintenance.

In 2004 Gockley Associates was founded as a division of Vigilant Corporation by Pamela Gockley to help small business owner and staff to understand the business of being in business, with the belief that successful effective websites can only be created with a strong understanding of the businesses target market. In February of 2016, Gockley Associates was renamed as Reputatus to reflect its growing areas of expertise.

Today, coaching and training programs in sales, leadership and goal setting are offered by Reputatus (formerly Gockley Associates) to create a strong marketing plan for businesses large and small. “Who is buying your products or services”, is a question that must be answered before marketing can begin.

In 2012 Pamela Gockley wrote and published, The Reputation Factor: Repositioning to Succeed. The Reputation Factor state of mind has become the corner stone of business coaching and training programs presented by Pamela Gockley and Gockley Associates to help business owners and individuals to become successful.

Vigilant.Net/Vigilant Communications has grown into a full-service marketing company including our core services website design development, hosting, Search Engine Optimization and social media marketing, plus offering professional photography, video production, content writing and printing advertising.
